Shipfire Product · Laundry operations SaaS

Blancfold Systems

From scattered laundry records to a product system built around the next order.

Project focus

  • Operations
  • Workflow
  • Product system

The product we set out to build.

Blancfold’s starting point was a familiar business problem: laundry work tracked across notebooks, messages and memory. The next milestone was to shape that daily operation into a connected product system.

We focused the product on the order lifecycle. Intake, garments, payments and collection needed to make sense together, while giving owners oversight and staff a clear next action.

The constraints that shaped the work.

The boundaries that mattered

  1. Keep the daily workflow understandable for staff with different levels of technical confidence
  2. Support owners and operators in one connected product
  3. Model garment, order, customer and payment information at the right depth for v1
  4. Make status and next actions more useful than decorative dashboard metrics

The decisions behind the product.

Give every order a clear path

We organised the experience around the order, connecting customer details, garments, status and payment. That gave the product a useful structure for daily operations.

Keep customer context within reach

History, preferences and balances sit alongside the active order. Staff can find the context for the task they are handling.

Support the owner and the team

Owners need oversight; staff need the next action. We kept a shared information model and adjusted which details and controls each role sees.

A business workflow, shaped into a product.

  • Create a customer and open a new laundry order
  • Record garments, services, pricing and collection details
  • Move an order through operational statuses
  • Track payment state and customer history
  • Review daily activity and outstanding work

Blancfold moved from a broad ambition to modernise laundry operations to a defined v1 product system. The order workflow, customer context and daily work view are connected. Testing with working operators is the next milestone: check intake, refine notification needs and find out whether the work view helps prevent missed orders.
