Taldeck

From fragmented candidate feedback to a shared workflow for hiring decisions.

Project focus

  • Hiring
  • Evaluation
  • Team workflow

The product we set out to build.

Taldeck addresses the gap between gathering candidate feedback and making a team decision. Notes and recommendations needed a shared context that reviewers could understand.

We focused the concept on an active role, its criteria and the candidates being reviewed. The milestone was a clear evaluation workflow with the evidence and decision history kept together.

The constraints that shaped the work.

The boundaries that mattered

  1. Keep candidate review fast for occasional participants
  2. Make evaluation criteria consistent across a hiring team
  3. Preserve the evidence behind every recommendation
  4. Avoid expanding the first release into a complete HR suite

The decisions behind the product.

Use the role as the starting point

Candidates, evaluation criteria and review activity sit within the role being filled. This gives the team a shared frame for the decision.

Make the reasoning visible

Assessments connect to notes, work samples or agreed criteria. Reviewers can explain the basis of a recommendation within the same workflow.

Show what is still unresolved

The shared workspace surfaces completed reviews, open questions and the next decision. Feedback and progress stay visible in the same view.

From candidate evidence to a team decision.

  • Create a role and define evaluation criteria
  • Add and organise candidate information
  • Capture structured interview feedback
  • Compare evidence across the hiring team
  • Record and communicate the decision

Taldeck’s concept gives candidate information, feedback and hiring decisions a shared structure. It defines how reviewers contribute evidence and see what remains unresolved. The next milestone is to test that workflow with hiring teams and refine how criteria are introduced and used.
